Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how course fee refunds and enrolment cancellations are handled for programmes offered by Digi Carotene Academy. It applies in addition to any written enrolment form, proposal, or payment receipt terms specific to your batch. In case of conflict, the stricter consumer-protection position that applies to you under law will prevail.
1. Definitions
- Programme start date — the official first scheduled session (orientation or first class) of your enrolled batch, as communicated by us in email or admission letter.
- Course fees — tuition and stated programme charges you pay to Digi Carotene Academy, excluding third-party charges we do not control (for example, certain external certification exam fees paid directly to vendors).
- Cooling-off window — the period before substantial programme delivery in which you may cancel per Section 3.
2. Payments
Fees may be paid in full or in instalments only where we have explicitly approved an instalment schedule in writing. Until fees are received and cleared, your seat is not guaranteed. Payments processed through payment gateways are subject to settlement timelines of banks and payment partners.
3. Cancellation by the student (before programme starts)
3.1 More than fourteen (14) days before the programme start date
If you cancel your enrolment in writing (email to digicaroteneacademy@gmail.com from the email address used for enrolment) at least fourteen (14) calendar days before the programme start date, you are eligible for a refund of one hundred percent (100%) of the course fees already paid to us, minus any non-refundable government or third-party registration fees we have already remitted on your behalf (if disclosed at enrolment).
3.2 Between seven (7) and thirteen (13) days before the programme start date
If you cancel in writing within this window, you are eligible for a refund of seventy-five percent (75%) of course fees paid, to account for batch planning, faculty blocking, and administrative costs.
3.3 Less than seven (7) days before the programme start date
Cancellations received in writing less than seven (7) days before the programme start date are generally not eligible for a refund, except at our sole discretion in cases such as documented medical emergencies or relocation due to employer transfer, which we may review case by case.
4. Cancellation after the programme has started
Once you have attended any scheduled session or been granted access to paid learning materials, cohort channels, or recorded content (whichever occurs first), no refund of course fees is available for withdrawal, except:
- Where we terminate the programme without providing a reasonable substitute batch within a mutually agreed period—in such cases we will refund fees for sessions not delivered or offer proportional credit, at our election; or
- Where applicable law requires a different remedy for consumers.
5. Non-attendance
Non-attendance without prior written cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund. You remain responsible for fees per your payment plan.
6. Cancellation or changes by Digi Carotene Academy
If we cancel a programme before it begins, we will offer a full refund of course fees paid to us or enrolment in the next available batch, at your choice. If we postpone a start date by more than twenty-one (21) days, you may request a full refund within seven (7) days of receiving our postponement notice, or remain enrolled on the new date.
7. Duplicate or erroneous payments
If you accidentally pay twice or our system records an incorrect excess amount, we will refund the excess after verification, typically within seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days.
8. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method or bank account where technically possible. For UPI, card, or net-banking payments processed via partners such as Razorpay, timelines may depend on issuing banks and network rules—often five (5) to fourteen (14) business days after we initiate the refund. We are not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment networks.
9. Instalments
If you withdraw under a refundable window but have only paid the first instalment, the refund percentage in Sections 3.1–3.3 applies to amounts actually paid. Future instalments that have not been charged will not be collected if your cancellation is accepted before the due date of those instalments. If you default on an agreed instalment schedule, we may suspend access and pursue amounts due under our Terms & Conditions.
10. Scholarships and promotional pricing
Refunds on discounted or scholarship seats are calculated on the net amount paid, not the list price, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
11. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us first for any payment dispute. Unjustified chargebacks may result in denial of future enrolment and recovery of legal or collection costs where permitted by law.

13. Updates
We may revise this policy from time to time. The effective date above will change when an updated version is posted. Enrolments completed before a change will generally follow the policy version in effect at the time of payment, unless a new version is required by law.
